Mechatronics is a training program and partnership between MBUSI, Shelton State Community College, and AIDT. The Mechatronics program provides students with the cognitive and hands-on skills necessary to support the building of world class automobiles at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International in Vance, Alabama.

International? The MECH student training program is for you!
Program Details
- • 7 semesters of school and work.
- • Paid work hours starting at $18/hour with gradual increases throughout the program.
- • Earn an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Industrial Electronics and a Short Certificate in Industrial Maintenance.
- • Attend college at Shelton State in Tuscaloosa.
- • MBUSI supports with tuition and fees beginning with the first semester. After the first semester, *support increases for each additional semester.
Training Content
- • Industrial electronics courses at Shelton State.
- • During the program, receive production related experience and shadow experienced maintenance technicians.
Upon Graduation
- • All successful students are hired.
- • Technician Training: Based on finishing GPA and other inputs, best fit students begin a 18 month training program for an opportunity to fill the role as Maintenance Technician.
